Pomerol, where Petrus is located, was the only region in Bordeaux that was not included in the classification. Nevertheless this is widely known as the king of wine. Petrus is unique from the brewing process. First of all, they use only new oak barrels. During the one to two years of barrel aging, they have to change new barrels once every three months, allowing the wine to fully absorb the aroma of different oak. This 1983 Petrus has a wonderful palate impression with silky and rich fruit taste. Plenty of blackberry and chocolate character with a full body and medium finish.
