Opus One winery was founded in 1978 as a joint venture between Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Château Mouton Rothschild and Robert Mondavi to create a single Bordeaux style blend based upon Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. This bottle of 2000 Opus One has an elegant aroma. Firm and structured, with cinnamon, blackberry, cherry and oak flavors. Medium-bodied with tight tannins.
