Mr. Henry
Chau, President of L&H Auction Co., Ltd., a senior Pu-er tea collector and
expert, with years of appreciating tea and has handled countless vintage Pu'er
tea lots. As described by Forbes China - as "The First Chinese Antique Tea
Auction". Mr. Henry Chau focused on the auction of collectible and vintage
Leica cameras and in 2014, he discovered the market and business opportunities
of tea auctions in China, and decided to aggressively enter the Pu-er tea
auction industry. Under the leadership of the company's founder L&H
Auctions became the world's number one Pu-er tea auction in the following three
years.
In 2018, Mr. Henry Chau and some of Hong Kong's most well-known celerity and successful entrepreneurs jointly established a fund
company-Hong Kong "Yin Ke Tang". The establishment of "Yin Ke
Tang" marked the beginning of a brand-new investment concept of Pu-er tea.
Through holding a number of tea-tasting parties, different vintage Pu-er tea
was presented and exchanged with tea lovers in the tea space of Athens to
promote Chinese tea culture.
In 2019, Mr. Henry Chau led L&H into the nearly 10,000-square-foot new space of the
Windsor House in Causeway Bay, which integrates multiple functions of the office,
tea room, exhibition and auction. Dedicated to bringing better and more diverse
services to collectors, this also marks the beginning of a new journey for
L&H Auctions. In November of the same year, the China edition of Forbes
focused on the rising trend of the Pu-er tea market in recent years. It interviewed Mr. Henry Chau, the founder of Hong Kong L&H Auctions, and selected the
"No. 1 Chinese Antique Tea Auction". With a unique vision, Mr. Henry
Chau has built L&H into the leading tea auction company in China and abroad
within five years. L&H Auctions is educating the public's recognition toward
tea, and at the same time, it continues to promote Chinese tea to the world.
