此鏡產於1962年，比第二代Elmar-M 4/90mm早兩年生產，融合了第一及第二代的外觀特徵；例如：光圈環及鏡頭上半部份採用了後期的設計，但調焦環上的垂直條紋則有如早期的第一代版本，市面少有。此鏡連同鏡頭前後蓋。
