Leica Camera Auction Organized by L&H Auction
 

We are delighted to bring you the L&H Photographica Auction, the first time ever held in Hong Kong. As Leica collectors like you, you can’t definitely miss it out! Consulted by James L. Larger, the renowned Leica researcher and historian. There are around 200 pieces of rare vintage camera, and auction will be taken place on 22 June 2013 at Grand Hyatt Hotel Hong Kong.

 

The highlighted piece by auction is the custom-made M6 Platinum Sultan of Brunei Birthday Edition with diamond embedded, on celebrating his golden birthday in 1995. It is very rare to find one with serial number HB-000, and comes with an unique Summilux-M 1.4/35mm numbered #375200, #HB000-125. This camera was once one of the collections of Leica Museum in Solms, complete set shipped with its original lenscap and wooden box, and left the museum since 2003. The estimated value is ranged from HK$2,200,000 to HK$2,800,000.

 

In this auction, Leica is the majority while other prestige brands will be offered. Around 200 classic cameras, lenses and related accessories are available for your bid. Leica MP Chrome with Summicron-M 2/5cm and Leicavit
Early MP Chrome, only 449 pieces were made in 1957, out of 311 pieces are in chrome. The serial number is matching with the number inside of the body. This camera comes with matching Summicron-M 2/5cm (#1466063) and Leicavit. In mint condition, extremely rare.

Elcan-R 3.4/180mm
In the early 1970s the US military in response to special photographic needs created for Vietnam Conflict. Commission Leitz of Midland Canada designed and produced this lens. The first batch 20 pieces was delivered in 1972. the second and third batch totally in 34 pieces was delivered before 1974, the lens carried serial number sequence 303-00XX, total 54 lenses. The serial number of this lens is 303-0053 with both caps, in perfect condition. Extremely rare.

M6 Platinum Sultan of Brunei 50th Birthday Edition with Diamond
To celebrate 50th birthday of his majesty, Sultan Brunei ordered the special limited edition from Leica in 1995. There were 150 pieces made with diamond on the top plate and come with Summilux-M 1.4/50mm, special number started with HB001. But more particularly, the camera in this auction carried with serial no. HB-000 which is the first unit of this batch, and the lens is Summilux-M 1.4/35mm (#375200, #HB000-125). This camera was property of the Leica Museum in Solms, leave in Leica museum up to 2003. Extremely rare, comes with lens cap.

146. MP Edition60 Years PRCwith Summilux-M 1.4/50mm ASPH Gold Plated
In commemoration the 60th Anniversary of the People‘s Republic of China Leica has produced 24 carat gold-plated MP with Summilux-M 1.4/50mm ASPH #4073525, body covered with red calf skin, only 61 units made, each bears a mark between 1949 and 2009, engraved “ 中華人民共和國萬歲” on the top. This commemorative number is 1987, complete with full packing in brand new condition. Extremely rare.

Leica M9-P Edition Hermès comes with Summicron-M 2/28mm ASPH, Noctilux-M 0.95/50mm ASPH & Summicron-M 2/90mm ASPH; only 100 units produced. The commemorative number is 52/100 , comes with Hermès camera bag and strap, hood, full packing and brand new condition.
