M7 "Handmade titanium camera" Prototype
PRICE (included premium):HK$ 2,124,000
Serial no.N/A,2002,Condition A+
Original factory prototype from the project "handmade titanium camera", which was made as a one of a kind model for Sheikh Saud Al-Thani of Qatar in the year of 2002. While the outer parts of the final version of this camera were in all-titanium, including the body cover (refer to LFI magazine No.06/2003), the unit here has a black leather body cover, some black knobs and levers, which let it look a bit like a "Titanium Panda" version. The set finally delivered contained five different lenses, all with solid titanium mounts. The camera here comes complete with a later solid titanium mount version of the Summilux-M 1.4/50 ASPH of 2004 (from "50 years of Leica M edition"). This camera and lens have been authenticated by Lars Netopil.
