Very rare and original Leitz Wetzlar prototype version of the later Summicron 2/50 lens. Leica screw mount. The lens head in unfinished brass. The fronting without name or serial number engraved. The diaphragm index from f/2 to f/16, additionally bears two index markings for f/22 and f/32 even (without figures engraved). Only the "Summitar *" forerunners of the Summicron do have a diaphragm index down to f/22. This lens has been authenticated by Lars Netopil.
