Original gray K-type IIIC “Wehrmacht Heer” with Elmar 3.5/5cm (#584189) were designed for German Armed Forces Army, camera body covered gray wartime paint, “W.H.” engraved on top-plate of the camera and lens. The camera is fitted with two “fiducial points” visible when the shutter is held open, these points bisect the long dimension of the Leica format. According to factory record, both camera and lens were delivery to Berlin on 3rd February 1944, shipment no. 9773 (please refer to James Lager Vol. I p.90 for further illustration).This camera comes with Elmar 3.5/5cm (#584189), case, original Leica tag, extremely rare. The camera and lens have been authenticated by Lars Netopil.
