This top plate is inserted on a commemorate perspex camera shaped block with the following suspended engraving “December 2011 ACM Projektentwicklung and Blackstone entered into joint ownership of Leica Camera AG”. Reputedly 5 pieces were produced to commemorate this event and one such camera is kept in the Leica Park Museum, very rare. This lot has been authenticated by Paul-Henry van Hasbroeck.
