Château Mouton Rothschild was elevated to First Growth status in 1973, the only change in the original 1855 classification. This bottle of 1998 Mouton with an opaque black/purple-colored is a blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, and 2% Cabernet Franc. It is an extremely powerful and concentrated wine offering notes of roasted espresso, crème de cassis, smoke, graphite, and licorice. Every sip is heaven.
