In order to commemorate the 50 years since the LEICA M system was first introduced with the LEICA M3, Leica had introduced a very nice M7 Titanium set with 3 lenses in 2004. Only 50 sets were made, serial number from 3000000 to 3000050 and Leica M creation years as commemorative number from 1954 to 2004 . Unlike previous products were only covered with a titanium outer finish, this set is made of solid titanium in all metal parts. Titanium is corrosion resistant, hard and relatively light weight which makes the set more valuable. The camera top plate has engraving “1954-2004 50 Jahre Leica M System” and commemorative number “1989”.Three lenses included are also made of titanium , which are Summicron-M 2/28mm ASPH (1989/28), Summilux-M 1.4/50mm ASPH (1989/50) as well as an APO-Summicron-M 2/90mm ASPH (1989/90). Each carries serial number matching with the camera . The set comes with box, instruction, certificate, strap, Rimowa custom made aluminum case in titanium color, titanium hood for Summicron-M 2/28mm ASPH, front and rear caps for three lenses, also a camera body cap.
