This is the first batch of the 1996 Purple Dayi Pu-er, featuring entirely purple packaging with a special "南" character and "XISHUAN" pinyin. Most of the packaging remains intact, with only the last piece showing slight marks and minor insect damage. This lot has been well-preserved in dry storage, which is rare among the existing batches. The blend is an improved version of the 7542 formula, offering a natural smokiness with subtle notes reminiscent of Blue Mark Pu-er. With further aging, its potential is highly promising.
