M2 Black Paint

The first version of M2 Black Paint was produced in 1958, numbered 948601-949100. It was ranked R7, Exceptionally Rare, in the Leica International Price Guide (R1-R10). However, for M2 with rewind button and without self-timer, less than 200 units of them were produced. They were indeed extremely rare and should be ranked the same as MP (Please refer to James Lager Vol.I p.202 for further illustrations). This camera comes with body cap, in original black paint with used marks, well functioned. It has been authenticated by Mr. James Lager.
