Leica model A (1925) with fixed Elmax 3.5/50 lens. The Elmax was the second version of lens built into the Leica IA, after the Anastigmat and before the Elmar. The Elmax still is the 5-element design of the Anastigmat. Cameras with Elmax occur between serial numbers 280 and 1280 approximately. The camera here shows all original features of the a second version Elmax Leica, without ratched wind, with frame counter up to 35, aluminum knobs, long but all black "R/A" lever, flat eyepiece, etc., in very fine original condition. Later baseplate. Complete with matching original cap, FODIS rangefinder and container with two cassettes, in rare original "EPI"-style ETRIN case. This camera has been authenticated by Lars Netopil.
