Leitz Military Aeronautic Stuka Lens Hood with IIIc

The unique combination lens hood and camera holder was made for German Stukas (Air Force) for aerial photography. Only one completely finished, plus around five examples of unfinished metal, which were acquired by Gianni Rogliatte about 30 years ago.
This lot is one of these unfinished examples, with green painted like M1 and M3 Olive, also with the original template engraved with “Sonnenblende fur Luftaufnahmen Objetiv Summitar f 5cm 1:2”.
It is in like new condition, with certificate by Gianni Rogliatti. The set includes a IIIc (#360580), SNOOC baseplate and a Summitar 2/5cm lens (#865834). For further illustration, please refer to James Lager Vol. III p.83 and Gianni Rogliatti “Leica The First 70 Years” p.123.
