Reid camera was made by Reid & Sigrist Ltd, which was a manufacturer of aircraft parts and precision instruments, located in Leicester, England. Most of the Reid cameras were produced for British military. This camera is remodel version without the viewfinder for the special use such as the Submarine, with “Reid & Sigrist Ltd” and “LEICESTER. Eng.” engraved on the top plate, and the British military number “AP8886” on the leather of the back.
