Leica model 1A with Elmax 3.5/50mm is the second version of 1A, but this camera retains the original features of 1A Anastigmat: short lever rewind in black paint, ratchet winding mechanism, base plate without two screws and without arrows indicating “Auf-Zu”, frame counter up to 40 and dome shape bottom, coarse vulcanite, flat eye piece viewfinder, etc. According to Ottmar Michaely's professional knowledge, Elmax cameras up to serial #625 in reality are Anastigmat cameras. He states this 1A Elmax was sent to Leitz Company for upgrading in 1930, speed dial upgraded from 6 to 7, the rest of camera is in the condition like when it was delivered. This camera is in fine original condition. Complete with Ottmar Michaely's signed authentication letter, box, leather case, matching original lens cap, container with two cassettes and FODIS rangefinder (#5712), very rare.
