This is a very rare and unusual Leitz first type Summilux-M 1.4/35mm rangefinder lens in black, with serial number 1765637. Only a very few example of this “steel–rim” Summilux 35mm lenses were made with black steel rim. Please compare James Lager Vol.II p.160 for a black steel rim lens with serial number 1765667. The lens offered here is in fantastic and all original condition. There are only few very light marks of wear in the black paint finished of infinity lock and goggles frames. Rare early black paint lens with perfect optics in original maker box. Matching with early black paint M3 or MP cameras. Comes with OLLUX Hood, both caps and box, in mint condition.
