This lens was first launched in summer 1983 and it was developed in anticipation of its use covering indoor sports at the 1984 Olympics. Lens is designed as 7 elements in 3 groups, with Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) lenses to provide precise optical color correction. Including a prototype, approx. 400 pieces were made only, very rare. The lens here comes with TC-14C Ai-S Teleconverter (#283408), an attachable 1.4X focal length multiplying accessory, could do double duty as a 420mm lens and with absolutely no loss of quality. Moreover, it also completes with aluminum case, HE-1 hood, 4 filters with carries, rear lens cap and leather case.
