Leitz Wetzlar rare original black paint MOOLY-C spring wound motor drive for Leica IIIc models. While around 3500 units of the "short base" MOOLY motors were produced in chrome finish, only about 700 units of the "long base" MOOLY for Leica IIIc were produced, of which about 400 pieces in black paint. Initiated during WWII, most of the black MOOLY-C were delivered after the war, as this one in February of 1948. Original paint conditions. This motor drive has been authenticated by Lars Netopil.
