Leitz Wetzlar rare original Leica M2 "Deutsche Bundeswehr" in silver chrome finish with black vulcanite. Besides Leica M3 and M1 and M4 cameras which were finished in olive paint, Leitz also supplied chrome Leica M2 cameras to the German Military (Bundeswehr). It is one of the most rare Bundeswehr Leica M versions, of which only a few cameras were actually delivered. The camera with golden eagle sticker "BMVtdg 30" comes complete with matching Super-Angulon-M 4/21mm lens, Nr. 1714932, engraved "Bundeseigentum". Also included are an leather case, IWKOO sunshade and SLOOZ 21 mm brilliant finder in silver chrome finish. Leitz delivery records show EMPTY lines for these cameras and lens serial numbers, which is typically an indication for either military or factory internal deliveries. This camera and lens have been authenticated by Lars Netopil.
