After successful IPO of Leica in 1996, their chairman of the board of the Leica Company offered to the bankers and other people that had been substantially involved in the IPO, to order such M6 "Ein Stück Leica" in special chrome finished. Only about 10 made use of this offer, which may be the rarest M6 version ever officially produced. The word “Ein Stück Leica Börsengang 1996” engraved on the back of camera, with special number “0000000” engraved on hot-shoe. It comes with Summilux-M 1.4/35mm ASPH (#3731277), wooden case and hood with cap.
