Here is a rare Summicron-M 2/28mm prototype lens made in Canada. The serial number engraved indicates that it was made 20 years before commercial production of 28mm ASPH ; and regarding to the 28mm lens, only f/2.8 were produced by Leitz Canada, instead of f/2.0. Furthermore, it carries some special features, such as longer barrel, the smallest aperture is f/22 instead of f/16; with vertical plane lens head and different engraving style on depth of field scale.
It comes with lens rear cap and hood (#12536).
