This early version is regarded as a higher-grade production of its era, made from grade 3 and 4 sturdy leaves with fine buds scattered across the surface. The cakes are wrapped in thick cotton paper printed with the small rectangular Zhong character, with one tube missing the large outer ticket. Having undergone steady transformation over the decades, the tea has developed balanced flavour and aroma with lasting aging potential, making it ideal for both appreciation and enjoyment.
