【Charity Auction】Legendary 88 Pu-er Signed by Iconic Actress Brigitte Lin

An Extraordinary Auction for a Worthy Cause

Old tea carries the weight of history, but it also forges new connections. Just as tea brought together the legendary Brigitte Lin and L&H President Henry Chau during the filming of the BRTV program Chinese Tea, their shared passion for tea blossomed into a charitable partnership, co-writing a new chapter in the legacy of tea and goodwill.

This May, L&H Auction is proud to present a truly one-of-a-kind auction item—88 Pu-er signed by the legendary actress Brigitte Lin. This exclusive lot comes with a special exemption from buyer's commission, and all proceeds will be donated to Charles Kao CUHK BEAT AD Service. We warmly invite all tea lovers and collectors to participate and support this meaningful cause.

※ Brigitte Lin: A Timeless Icon ※

Brigitte Lin is a legendary actress who has starred in over 100 classic films. Her unforgettable roles in numerous movies have cemented her place in the history of Chinese cinema.

Beyond the silver screen, she has transitioned into the world of literature, continuing to inspire with her artistry and wisdom. Much like aged tea, her charm and legacy only deepen with time. In recognition of her immense contributions to art and culture, she was conferred Doctor of Social Sciences honoris causa by the University of Hong Kong and received a special tribute award last year for her global influence within the Chinese community.

Brigitte Lin is also a passionate advocate for philanthropy, playing a pivotal role in founding the Charles Kao CUHK BEAT AD Service. This initiative aims to raise awareness of mild Alzheimer's disease and support elderly patients in need.

※ 88 Pu-er: A Legendary 1980s Tea ※

Widely regarded as the "ancestor" of dry storage Pu-er, 88 Pu-er from the 1980s is celebrated for its exceptional aging qualities and unique flavor profile, making it a timeless favorite among Pu-er enthusiasts.

Paired with Brigitte Lin's signature, this tea cake takes on an unparalleled significance, blending the essence of two legends: one from the world of tea and the other from the world of film. Together, they represent a fusion of artistry, history, and cultural legacy.

This rare collaboration is a testament to the passage of time, creating a harmonious dialogue between tea and starlight. It’s an opportunity to own a piece of history while contributing to a noble cause.

Commitment to Giving Back

L&H believes that tea is more than a beverage—it’s a bridge that connects people and traditions. Through the promotion of old tea, we aim to give back to society by sharing the blessings that tea brings.

Since the opening of our new location in Causeway Bay in 2019 and the post-pandemic period in 2022, L&H has held charity auctions to embody the spirit of giving through tea. This year, after a three-year hiatus, we are honored to once again host a charity auction featuring this extraordinary collectible item.

To further encourage participation, we have waived the buyer’s commission for this item. All proceeds will be donated to Charles Kao CUHK BEAT AD Service, supporting early detection and intervention for Alzheimer’s patients. We invite tea lovers and collectors to join us in this meaningful event—a chance to witness history, contribute to a worthy cause, and share in the goodwill that tea inspires.
