本拍品为徕卡MDa的原型机，机身顶盖未刻有「MDa」字样或正式序号，只刻有「Leitz」字样。机背亦没有刻上「M」及「X」与产地；回片杆、自拍杆与快速上片装置均为M4特征，加上成色上佳，极为罕见。此机配机身盖。
