Lafite 1982 is one of the most amazing Bordeaux wines in the 20th century. It possesses a dark ruby/purple color with ripe black currants, graphite and smoky wood scents. The wine has great finesse and a particular softness imparted by the Merlot. It tends to be firm yet delicate and supple, great elegance develops with age. Robert Parker suggested that the 1982 will enjoy another 30-65 years of life. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2070.
