L&H HK Autumn Auction 2023 presents an unprecedented extravaganza of fine teas, encompassing exquisite Hao Grade Pu-er coveted by collectors, as well as legendary teas with provenance from historic tea houses. Century-old Lian Xing Hao Makes Grand Debut
L&H was fortunate enough to have unearthed two pieces of tea cakes from a fellow collector, which have since been identified as precious reserves from Lian Xing Hao according to historical archives from the "The Chronicles of Mengla County". The century-old lot comes with both inner tickets intact, retaining traditional craftsmanship and cultural heritage from the late Qing Dynasty. Savouring the charm of age through sips of history, the collectors’ item brings exceptional value that only appreciates with time.

Unprecedented Extravaganza of Fine Teas
Termed as ‘drinkable antiques’, Hao Grade Pu-er has long been known as the pinnacle of vintage teas. All remaining Hao Grade Pu-er have been produced by private tea houses during the late Qing Dynasty up until the establishment of the Republic of China. Hao Grade teas demonstrate an unmatched diversity in the use of tea buds, formula and processing methods, adding to the appeal and enjoyment of tasting, while serving a wonderful surprise to enthusiasts who appreciate the vivacity of the world of teas. Withstanding the test of time for over a century, Hao Grade teas are absolute gems and scarce to find in the market.
The L&H HK Autumn Auction introduces an extensive line-up of well-preserved teas, with the majority of lots kept in dry storage for premium conditions. Apart from Lian Xing Hao’s grand debut, notable lots include the ‘King of Teas’ Song Ping Hao, along with imperial tribute teas such as Tong Xing Hao crafted by Xiang Zhiqing and Tong Chang Hao. Furthermore, the acclaimed Qun Ji Hao Red Mark from Jiang Cheng, as well as the last generation of Jincha and century-old Liu An tea by Wang Lichun also make a memorable appearance.
