Hong Kong, 28 November 2023 – As Greater China's leading tea auctioneer, L&H HK staged the "Vintage Pu-er Tea and Premium Tea Auction" and "Premium Delicacies Auction" on 26 November 2023 (Sunday). With the support and trust shared by worldwide collectors, the unprecedented line-up welcomed enthusiastic bidders in the room, through writing, on the telephone and online, and concluded successfully amid a round of applause.
Making its grand debut in the world of auction, the century-old Lian Xing Hao led the sale at a hammer price of HKD 220 million. Hao Grade and Yin Grade Pu-er delivered brilliant results, while Mid-term Pu-er and a batch of high-quality loose teas, maintained their consistently excellent performance, testifying to the thriving demand for vintage Pu-er teas and their evident potential for appreciation. In addition, rare supplementary items featured not only aged tangerine peels from renowned producing regions but also wild mountain ginseng, making it a hot topic among collectors as it made its debut in the Hong Kong auction scene.

Owing to the generosity of a fellow collector, we were able to present a century-old Lian Xing Hao for the first time in the history of auction. As one of the most ancient teahouses in Yiwu Town, the lot received considerable attention from preview to auction, shining bright amongst a sea of rare gems. L&H HK is fortunate to have uncovered and set the benchmark for the unique Hao Grade lot.
